Moab In May - May 8 to 15, 2011

A bike-focused camp to jump start your fitness.

Camp starts with athlete arrival on May 8th in Grand Junction, CO.

Key Rides:

  • Colorado National Monument
  • Grand Mesa
  • Douglas Pass (8,268 ft)
  • Arches National Park
  • La Sal Mountain Loop
  • Islands In The Sky National Park

We will have a welcome dinner on May 8th in Grand Junction to kick off the camp. If possible then book your flight out of Grand Junction for the afternoon of May 15th as this will help us with transfers. The drive between the two cities is about two hours.

May is peak season in Moab and the weather is typically fantastic. We have a mix of flat and climbing rides lines up. Bring your climbing gears. If you have a choice of bikes then your road bike is recommended. Although I have done similar climbs on a TT bike, I think that you'll be most comfortable with a road set up.

Colorado National Monument park requires lights front/rear on your bike. The rangers have started enforcing this requirement at park entry. The ride in the park is VERY cool. So make sure you have the lights so you meet the requirements for park entry.
